About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual, who can work well under pressure to meet demanding deadlines with little or no supervision. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for Quality Control Inspection and Non-destructive Testing (NDT) within the Certified Repair Station (CRS) as well as leading hands-on Quality problem solving, QC Inspections, Outside Supplier QA Audits, Mobile Repair Unit Field Evaluations and Modification Supplier Source Inspections.

Reports to: Manager of Quality

What Youll Do:

• Performing and instructing others regarding hands-on Quality Control (QC) Inspection of aircraft, aircraft engine and propeller maintenance and modifications as an individual contributor and/or manager

• Identifies conformance/non-conformance with requirements and provides objective observations, recommendations, and mentoring to maintenance personnel at all levels, pertaining to aircraft, engine, and propellers as well as, component manufacturer, regulatory requirements, and company quality policy.

• Performs Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle as well as General and Detailed Visual Inspections.

• Provides NDT On the Job Training to colleague Level I and Level II LIMITED NDT Inspectors.

• Maintains situational awareness of maintenance and repair/alteration work being planned and performed in accordance with customer, applicable maintenance/modification program, company policy, and regulatory requirements

• Inspection activities include but are not limited to maintenance work record audits to ensure compliance with customer work scope and applicable regulations

• Plans and conducts audits and makes updates to aircraft records to verify work performed

• Performs certification of aircraft, engines, propellers, and aeronautical articles, including maintenance release

• Makes fact-based objective decisions that are supported by the FAA Certified Repair Station Chief Inspector

• Provides problem identification and definition along with solutions

• Provides mentoring and training of collateral duty and full-time Quality Control Inspection candidates

• Performs Receiving, Hidden Damage, Preliminary, In-process and Final Inspections in accordance with the applicable regulatory, manufacturer, and customer requirements

• Performs other duties as assigned

What Were Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 or more years of commercial single and/or multi-engine turboprop airplane maintenance experience required; 14 CFR Part 25 aircraft experience is a plus

• Current Airframe & Powerplant certificate required. Current FAA Inspection Authorization preferred; ability to obtain IA within 6 months preferred but not required.

• Must be a certified ASNT Level II NDT Technician

• Must have a detailed understanding of FAA regulations including 14 CFR Part (s): 21, 39, 43, 47, 91, 135, and 145 as well as, FAA Inspector guidance such as FAA Orders applicable to Repair Stations

• Must have the ability to read, interpret, and apply various technical data such as aircraft specifications, aircraft maintenance, structural repair manuals, and instructions for continued airworthiness

• Must have the ability to successfully complete aircraft and engine manufacturer initial and recurrent maintenance training

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work with minimum supervision and to consistently exercise good judgment and risk management

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong ability to be to define problems and to present information, concepts, and potential solutions to technical and non-technical personnel

• Must provide reliable transportation and be able to lift 75 pounds

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and preferably, WinAir products
