We’re looking for a Quality Control Inspector II (2nd shift). This position will be based out of our Oklahoma City, OK location.

General Duties

Responsible for in-process and final inspections on civil and military aviation products in accordance with (IAW) Field policies and procedures, manufacturer’s technical data, engineering design drawings, airworthiness directives, government and industry standard practices, and other acceptable or approved data.  Verifies post-modification functional test of avionics/electrical systems IAW customer drawings and specifications.


Essential Job Functions

•    Ensures proper inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by Field Aerospace in complying with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), DCMA Instruction 8210.1 “Contractor’s Flight and Ground Operations”, and AS9100 Quality Management System;

•    Executes maintenance release requirements following completion of work and associated records;

•    Perform aircraft inbound inspections to document condition of the aircraft prior to modification and maintenance activities;

•    Submits recommendations to overcome recurrent mechanical deficiencies found during aircraft inspections;

•    Ensures that FAA required reports and maintenance records are complete and in compliance with directives;

•    Continually monitors repair station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted Repair Station and Quality Manual (RSM/QCM);

•    Inspects incoming materials for workmanship, condition and conformity to standards;

•    Ensures rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts until serviceability is restored;

•    Verifies that all precision tools and test equipment used for product acceptance are in calibration prior to use;

•    Performs audit and regulatory compliance functions internally and externally, including repair station inspection and vendor audits;

•    Performs weight and balance calculations after aircraft modifications;


Skills and Experience

6 years total commercial or military aircraft maintenance plus two years aircraft inspector experience.

Education

High school diploma, civilian/military technical school, or must be an appropriately rated under FAR Part 65.

The employee is subject to environmental conditions.  Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

The employee is frequently required to function in close quarters, crawl spaces, aircraft fuel tanks and shafts that could cause claustrophobia.
