Job Description:

APA Services is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team in Carrollton, TX. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in the manufacturing of composite aerospace components. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of quality control processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of composite aerospace components to ensure compliance with specifications, blueprints, and industry standards.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality management systems.
Conduct audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards.
Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control practices and procedures.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans and inspection protocols.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, in the aerospace industry.
A&P License
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and regulatory requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
