Structures Mechanic in Wichita, KS

Job Description:

  •   5 years of experience working on aircraft final assembly and system installation.
  • Perform modification to convert corporate aircraft into military “spy” aircraft.
  • Inspect, identify, and repair aircraft parts, components, and systems located in close-out areas. 
  • Assemble and install aircraft components, for example, fitted parts, sheet metal assemblies, component racks and batteries, and crew and slave equipment.
  • Complete aircraft paperwork and prepare aircraft for turn to flight.
  • Assist with jacking and moving aircraft and/or equipment to next station.
  • Analyze hydraulic fluid for contamination on applicable aircraft models and ground support equipment.
  • Support other areas in functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical components as problems arise.
  • Modify aircraft systems and airframe in accordance to engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of mechanical aircraft systems.

Responsibilities:

      Read and interpret engineering documents.

      Knowledge operating ground support equipment.

      Read and understand system schematics.

      Operate ground support equipment to simulate ground and flight conditions.

      Knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.

      You are able to obtain and renew certifications / CFC certification.

      You are able to troubleshoot, modify, and/or repair mechanical aircraft systems and airframe.

      Environment: Flight Test Center: Non-Climate Controlled Hangar.

Pay:

      $37/hour – $44/hour

      Pay is based on years of experience.

Work Schedule:

       Must be open to 1st, 2nd, and weekend Shift.

       1st Shift: Monday – Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

       2nd Shift: Monday – Friday: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM

       Weekend: Friday – Sunday: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Placement Options:

      Contract (6 months)
