Job Description:
  • Projects will focus around structural analysis of solid rocket motors.
  • Tasks will primarily involve the setup and operation of finite element models to determine the loads, deflections, and stresses/strains, all under the supervision of senior engineering staff.
  • Majority of analysis will be under static loads with very limited dynamic analysis.
  • Prior finite element analysis exposure/experience is a plus but not required.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s in  Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • 3.2 GPA or above
  • Solid academic track record of accomplishment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership & teamwork skills
  • Coursework in Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Material Science, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Finite Element Methods
  • Experience with Finite Element Modeling solvers – ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, etc…
