Position Overview:

The Controls and Automation Associate Account Manager will support growth efforts of the HPS Business in the West.  You will align continually with the Process Solutions team to assess portfolio opportunities and needs in the Automation & Control industry for the Refining, Chemical, Mining, Battery Cell Manufacturing, and Pharma market. And participate with input into regional industry trends, technology/product development, to enhance our portfolio offerings specific to end-user needs.

(Salary Range for this position: $64,200 - $96,400)

Location/Travel:

  • Regionally base in the following states (Arizona/Nevada/ Colorado/)
  • Ability to travel up to 20 in your region - primarily in the Western US states.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of Sales, Engineering or Project Management experience in the Automation & Control industry
  • Awareness of market penetration strategies and market development strategies and techniques
  • An awareness of Automation and Process solutions, such as PLC, DCS, and SCADA
  • Awareness of business impact of automation solutions used across the Heavy process industries such as Refining, Chemical, Mining and Pharma market.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with customers, peers, and internal support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the West Region in a variety of opportunity pursuits while learning the complexities of the various industries Honeywell supports as well as learn the technology behind all of our offerings. .
  • Lead critical portions of select opportunities, as a team member, to drive internal and external meetings that move sales opportunities forward.
  • Completely own several of Honeywells install base legacy accounts and be the Account Manager for those accounts.
  • Backfill for other account managers while they are unavailable.  

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of Sales, Engineering, or Project Management experience in the automation solutions for Heavy Process Industries such as: Refining, Chemical, Mining, Power, Pharma
  • Exposure to Automation and Process solutions, including PLC, DCS, and SCADA
  • Ability to effectively present to a mid-level or higher customer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to articulate a story.

WE VALUE

  • Technical / Engineering Bachelors degree
  • Relationship or Project Management is a plus.
  • Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to forge solid relationships (externally & internally) and lead across a broad and geographically dispersed business.
  • Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.
  • Demonstrated to behave and communicate to team sense of urgency.
  • Excellent team and communication skills
  • Self- starter, who thrives in an ever-evolving sales environment.

  • Proven effectiveness in a highly matrixed environment
