Job Description:

As an Airframe Services Offer Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the end-to-end process of offering aircraft modification projects for various types of Airbus aircraft. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of the aviation industry.

Your working environment:

The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe.

Your challenges:

Project Evaluation:  

  • Assess customer requirements and specifications for aircraft modifications. 

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to evaluate the feasibility and technical aspects of proposed modifications. 

  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.

 

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:  

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for modification projects, considering materials, labor, and other associated expenses. 

  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to create comprehensive budgets for each project.

 

Proposal Development: 

  • Craft compelling and detailed proposals for customers, outlining the scope of work, timelines, and costs. 

  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to ensure proposals align with market needs and competitive pricing. 

Contract Negotiation: 

  • Support negotiations with customers and suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements.

  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure contracts are compliant and protective of the company&39;s interests. 

Project Planning and Coordination: 

  • Develop project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and milestones. 

  • Coordinate with various internal departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth project execution. 

Customer Relationship Management: 

  • Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service throughout the offer lifecycle. 

  • Address customer concerns and changes promptly, ensuring client satisfaction. 

Quality Control: 

  • Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all modifications meet industry standards and client expectations.

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in aircraft cabin and avionics technology. 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

Your boarding pass:

  • Minimum BS degree in engineering or related field: BS degree 6 years / MS 3 years

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in aviation or aerospace industries. 

  • Strong technical understanding of aircraft cabin and avionics systems modifications. 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

  • Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline. 

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics. 

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills. 

  • Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams. 

Preferred Skills:  

  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes is a plus. 

  • Experience with Airbus Aircrafts.

  • Experience in Sales and/or Marketing role.

  • Prior experience at or working with a Customer Airline. 

  • Previous experience in Customer Services engineering field. 

  • Prior experience with Aircraft Interior suppliers. 

  • Lean Six Sigma
