Role Introduction

Reports To: Head of Digital Products Operations

The role is responsible for fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and connected internal community within the Digital Experience and Customer Lifestyle teams. The role involves managing a variety of internal events, including townhalls and informal community-building activities, and ensuring effective stakeholder communication to elevate the profile and activities of the team

Additionally, the role includes driving internal team communications as well as leading discrete projects and programmes of work.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in internal communications and community building and possess a strong background in coaching, ideally with relevant certifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and execute internal events, including townhalls, team meetings, and informal gatherings aimed at building a strong sense of community and engagement among employees.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop event agendas that align with organizational goals and address key issues or opportunities.
  • Ensure all events are well-coordinated, effectively communicated, and inclusive of all team members.
  • Design and implement initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and collaboration within the team, encouraging cross-functional interaction and team bonding.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of informal community-building activities that enhance team morale and strengthen interpersonal relationships across the organization.
  • Create and execute communication strategies to elevate the profile of the team within the organization, ensuring that key initiatives and achievements are highlighted and celebrated.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between the team and other departments, ensuring that the teams contributions are recognized and understood company wide.
  • Develop and manage internal communication channels, ensuring that all team members are informed, engaged, and aligned with the organizations mission and values.
  • Craft clear, concise, and compelling messaging for internal newsletters, updates, and announcements, ensuring consistency in tone and voice.
  • Collaborate with People and Cathay Academy to identify training needs and opportunities for professional growth within the team.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of team technical learning programmes such as: Reforge for Product Management and Continuous Discovery Habits.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering personal and professional growth, and helping individuals align their career goals with organizational objectives by establishing formal mentorship programs where experienced employees can guide less experienced team members.
  • Utilise coaching techniques to help team members set measurable and achievable goals, enhance performance, improve communication, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of community and engagement initiatives and provide regular reports to senior leadership on progress and outcomes.
  • Leverage data and feedback to refine internal communication and engagement strategies, establishing continuous feedback loops for employee input.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Project management experience
  • Technical depth developing tools and content across various digital communications channels including mobile, social, app, sharepoint, videography advantageous.
  • Coaching certification preferred
