JOB SUMMARY:

Support, develop and implement quality control methods to ensure compliance with approved design data and company quality standards. Perform training, audits, and recommend analysis for recurring

discrepancies. Interface with back shop management and employees to understand various processes, develop process maps and review of documentation.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work related fields. May substitute equivalent work related experience for degree.
  • 3 years of experience in aviation industry, quality and/or related manufacturing industry including:
  • The use of quality principles, conducting training, Lean manufacturing, identifying Root Causes, etc.Experience in project management which may include setting agendas, meeting management, establishing goals, determining completion, and reporting progress
  • ·Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • · Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • · Ability to provide liaison function between various departments, management, employees and vendors to lead improvement initiatives
  • · Ability to create and analyze metrics for monitoring process improvements.
  • · Must be able to climb stairs and move about the factory floor, other offices, and aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Internal audit experience
  • Familiarity with various DFJ Management Systems
  • Certified in Lean methodologies
  • Reading blueprints and/or 3D CATIA

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal facility conditions, including office and production environments. Must be able to work at a desk and computer for significant portions of the day.
  • Must not be sensitive to noise, heat, cold, humidity, etc. as research in various manufacturing shops is required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Conduct audits/investigations in back shop processes and/or supporting documentation which conform to production practices for the purpose of determining level of conformance of the manufacturing of components and systems to Falcon production standards (FPS), work instructions/procedures, and other guiding principles.
  • Validate, create, implement and conduct new training methods from approved company documentation which supports the technical build and finish application of aircraft furniture and
  • parts.
  • Responsible for qualifying processes and equipment by using vendor specifications to establishstandards or recertify existing standards for use in production.
  • Provide corrective actions plans and perform root cause analysis to address violations of company production standards.
  • Perform technical/Lean activities to create cohesive process definitions, flow charts and maps.
  • Conduct and coordinate meetings for the purpose of communicating findings from audits and recommendations for correction/improvement.
  • Support the implementation of new products and help qualification of current methods and equipment.
  • Communicates with members of management as well as back shop employees regarding current processes, new products, daily operations, etc.

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Interface throughout DFJ to suggest and implement process improvements which result in reduced operational expenses and increased value to internal and external customers.
  • Encourage innovation to increase quality and customer satisfaction while decreasing cost through example, positive attitude, work environment, and motivation.
  • Conducts special projects as requested by management
  • Other duties as assigned
