Job Description:
We are searching for an experienced Benefits Manager II. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, Leave programs and other related offerings. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design, implement, and manage benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

As SNCs corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other related offerings
  • Evaluate and analyze existing benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals
  • Work with Broker to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and recommend necessary updates
  • Provide expert guidance and support to employees regarding benefits options, enrollment processes, and claims resolution
  • Develop and deliver educational programs to promote employee understanding and utilization of benefits
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to align benefits strategies with overall business objectives
  • Work with Finance to prepare and manage the benefits budget and fringe rate, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of benefits data and processes
  • Lead and mentor a team of benefits specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in benefits management with proven track record of designing and managing successful benefits programs, preferably in the aerospace & defense industry
  • 4+ years of benefits management on the employer side, leading people
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and HIPAA
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to fostering a positive team culture
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Must be able to influence
  • Highly motivated, embraces change and has a desire to develop programs from the ground up
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, mentor & develop team

Preferred:

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certification or alike (CBP, etc.)
  • Experience using Workday
  • Service Contract Act (SCA) knowledge and application

Estimated Starting Salary: $126,031.74 - $173,293.65

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
