Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving efficiency and ensuring optimal performance? We are seeking a talented Contracts Manager to oversee our Plant Maintenance department. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing the availability of our machinery, processes, and equipment while maintaining cost-effectiveness and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure subcontractors possess necessary security clearance.
  • Uphold welfare and safety of all personnel on site.
  • Coordinate and communicate planned tasks with production management.
  • Develop Safe Systems of Work & Risk Assessments for on-site activities.
  • Provide procurement support and source high-quality products and services.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and savings.
  • Review and approve contracts for maintenance and servicing.
  • Liaise with contractors, OEMs, suppliers, and technical specialists.
  • Monitor work schedules and resource plans.
  • Identify advancements in technology to enhance processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Manage variances in planned costs and establish risk mitigation plans.
  • Communicate decisions impacting other areas of the business.
  • Update asset management systems accurately and transparently.
  • Monitor equipment conditions and recommend refurbishments or replacements.
  • Advise on critical spares packages to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Attend and present performance data at meetings.

Person Specification:

Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • People Management training or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience in data analysis and budget management.
  • Proficient in producing and leading presentations.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in planned and preventive maintenance.
