Key Responsibilities: We are in search of an Identity & Access Management (IAM) leader to the take the reins on Access Management and Directory services.
The IAM team is expanding to meet the growth of United Next strategy and is transforming our access management capabilities to improve the security posture of United Airlines by keeping our workforce safe as well as helping secure the connected aviation ecosystem from real world threats. This will be accomplished while creating modern login experiences at home, in the office, airport, and in the air so our front line can focus on what they do best – getting our customers safely to their destinations.
We are looking for someone with a passion for cybersecurity, identity, access management, and the knowledge that it begins with people and process.
As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of functions within access management. This includes leading initiatives like Access Management technology and process transformation, user directory services, multi-factor authentication, and our journey towards a passwordless experience. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in shaping policies and standards, implementing new technology, communication and driving adoption across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge in cybersecurity, identity and access management, identity protection, and active directory and Azure Active Directory. Moreover, they should have a track record of leading and motivating multi-functional teams to improve the promotion of trusted identities while prioritizing security and positive user experiences.
Responsibilities:· Develop an Access Management Program to support our identity and access management policies and standards that adhere to NIST 800-53 while incorporating regulatory and industry standard process to support PCI, DFARS, SoX compliance
· Ensure all persona types are covered in solution architecture, test case coverage, and adoption (employees, non-employees, pre-hires, retirees, et. Al)
· Define critical metrics to demonstrate United’s commitment to secure access management practices that also enable productivity and reduced service desk calls
· Develop, lead, and own the universal directory strategy and execution demonstrating partnerships with the Active Directory team to establish periodic review of configurations, remediation to keep the airline safe and ensuring alignment with the Identity Lifecycle Management/Governance/PAM leader to ensure outcomes are achieved broadly across the IAM program.
· Implement modern access management authentication solution and drive adoption across all users and applications including partnering with the Identity & Access Governance team to ensure effective management of elevated role-based and privileged access roles are controlled via lifecycle management
· Collaborate with application and product teams to inform roadmaps and incorporate digital trust requirements and features to advance the organization toward passwordless (passkeys, biometrics, etc.)
· Lead API Key management strategy and delivery
· Work with senior leadership to keep them informed, involved, and inspired on progress
This position is remote and would require approximately 20 travel.

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): · 12+ years of related experience, including at least 5 years leading and coaching teams to their highest potential
· 4+ years of experience identify and remediating cyber security, technology, or operational risks related to data
· Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principals, standard methodologies, and technology with applied experience managing security risks associates with data privacy and data protection
· Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, standards, and frameworks (PCI, Data Privacy Laws, IOS27001/2, NIST, HITRUST, CIS, etc.)
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):· Certifications (at least one preferred): CIPP, CISM, CISSP, CISA
Salary:The salary for this position is $159,300 to $233,640, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
