Primary Responsibilities:

The Director of Human Resources (HR) reports to the Senior Director of HR and Communications and directs and executes diverse assignments for the HR organization. This role will lead the HR Generalist team and have expanded responsibilities for other core functions in the HR organization. This person supports business objectives, strategic goals and human resources initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs human resources programs to ensure initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives.
  • Directs the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent, and oversees diversity initiatives.
  • Directs a team of HR Generalists (HR Managers, HR Generalists, and HR Coordinators) to support HR initiatives for the business including change management, leader effectiveness, organizational design and employee engagement to support a business of 6,900+ employees.
  • Advises the business and oversees employee relations concerns to include performance management, discipline and terminations.
  • Provides direction, counsel/coaching and analytics that enable leaders to make sound talent decisions, promote employee engagement and positive employee relations.
  • Engages with business leaders and maintains business acumen to be aware of HR needs across the business and provide inputs to the strategic planning process.

 

You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 10+ years experience in Human Resources, including 2+ years experience in directly managing a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 10 of the time.
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
