Summary of Essential Duties:
- Put safety above all
- Provide exemplary service to internal and external customers.
- Focus System Operations Control Center (SOC) on the timeliness and quality of their communications among themselves, with other divisions of the Company, and with external stakeholders including aircraft owners/lessors, customers.
- Maintain effective working relationships with Flight Operations, Inflight, Maintenance, and Airport Operations management. Assure there is a constant and timely flow of information between all departments in the SOC and in the field of operations.
- Ensure that personnel in SOC buy-in to the Companys common visions related to safety, workplace morale, processes, procedures, and the over-arching company culture.
- Maintain sufficient staffing of Dispatch and Crew Scheduling personnel to provide adequate operational control, customer service and support efficient operations.
- Provide superior technical leadership and guidance to the managers of flight operations.
- Provide financial leadership with a focus on efficient utilization of aircraft and flight crews.
- Develop, revise, and implement policies and procedures to establish standards throughout SOC.
- Provide analysis and advice to Director of Operations regarding issues as it relates to flight operations and cost control.
- Execute operation plans during irregular operations caused by weather, ATC, maintenance, or security disruptions.
- Manage the operational resources of the airline to ensure maximum operational performance as measured by completion factor and on-time arrival performance.
- Effectively manage a 24 hour a day 7 day a week operation.
- Expand Initial and Recurrent Dispatch Training.
- Conducts performance reviews for Flight Coordinators and Crew Schedulers.
- Conduct coaching and counseling sessions with Flight Coordinators and Crew Schedulers as needed. Issue appropriate corrective action when warranted.
- Develop, revise, and implement policies and procedures to establish standards throughout the Systems Operational Control center.
- Provide analysis and advice to Director of Operations regarding issues as it relates to flight operations and cost control
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
