The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a E-7 Supplier Performance Sr. Manager (Level M) to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA.

This position is for a Senior Manager within Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Supplier Management with the responsibility, accountability and authority (RAA) to lead the Supply Chain Support and Performance teams for the E-7 UK and Legacy area. The successful candidate will lead a team of SPMs, SBMs and Analysts consisting of the E-7 UK and Legacy Support and Supplier Performance teams. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse unified team of Supplier Management professionals that executes the needs of the E-7 business. Ensure organizational, business and technical strategies, goals and objectives align with business and customer vision/strategy. Support the meeting of cost savings/affordability targets, measure progress to plan.
  • Provide strategic leadership, knowledge and oversight of supplier recoveries, supplier lean events, supplier stability activities, supports negotiation processes and tools, and advance the implementation of strategic contracting strategies. Develop and build a compliance-focused team culture.
  • Develop and execute organizational strategies that accelerate growth, reduce cost, drive stability and improve supply base performance. Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. Builds strategic partnerships with suppliers and/or organizations to advance Boeings position. 
  • Build and develop an empowered team through coaching and mentoring, and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities.
  • Inspire a culture and create an environment where diverse, high-performing and engaged team members can excel and flourish.
  • Champion a culture of communication that conveys organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of workgroup, project or process goals. Proactively communicate with employees, peers, customers, and stakeholders, keep others informed.
  • This position will also require proven ability to operate in a collaborative environment developing strong relationships across teams and functions to ensure overall success of aggressive business objectives in a dynamic environment.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 10+ years’ experience in Supplier Management
  • 3+ years leading a team or program.
  • 5+ years’ experience developing, negotiating and executing complex USG contracts and subcontracts under USG primes.
  • 5+ years’ experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external), and suppliers.
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical oversight/management of external suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years’ experience with subcontracting in a USG approved purchasing system/environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with MRP systems such as NWP.
  • 5+ years of experience working with suppliers and managing a supply base in a dynamic environment with frequent expedited procurement demands.
  • 5+ years of experience with supplier recoveries and leading through complex technical issues driving best solutions on behalf of our Customers.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 50 of the time.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Pay range: $164,900 - $223,100
