Synopsis
This role requires working closely with the Head of Risk to deliver the department’s goals and objectives for the Group. This role has the responsibility to lead risk management initiatives, support in establishing the Enterprise Risk Management framework for the company, supporting management in identifying financial, operational, strategic risks which are appropriately quantified and prioritized with suitable action plans being developed across the organization. The successful individual will also be required to proactively contribute to the strategic development of the Risk Management function and ensure that the department values are upheld at all times.
Accountabilities
Design and implement an Enterprise Risk Management strategy that is aligned with, and supports the achievement of, the Group’s strategic objectives.
Conduct analysis of the financial, operational, and strategic impact on the company when risks occur.
Build on expertise as a leading airline risk manager and business partner by continuously expanding knowledge of own specialist areas and leading benchmarking exercises.
Design and deliver training materials to risk owners across the business Deputise the Head of Risk where necessaryDevelop process/tools to enhance the embedding of risk management culture across the organization
Perform ad-hoc special projects as requested from time to time by the Head of Risk with minimal notice.
Ensure accuracy of Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience, and ensure business heads understand this might affect their departments whilst ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks.
Establish credible relationships with executive and senior management and third-party service providers where relevant to facilitate the implementation of best practices in risk and control of business processes.
Prioritise work effectively while ensuring continuous communication with immediate superior and providing regular updates on risk management/evaluation progress, reporting, and escalation of issues or challenges faced in a proactive, unbiased, and timely manner
