Job Description SummaryThe Lynn Assembly & Test Plant Leader will be responsible for leading the Lynn Assembly & Test Organization. In this role, you will be accountable for planning and directing all aspects of the organization’s operations and supply chain strategies, objectives, initiatives and policies for both assembly and test, as well as play a key leadership role within the broader Lynn campus.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the operations team to execute and achieve business goals using Lean manufacturing methodology
  • Drive business outcomes and through standard work for daily, weekly, and monthly operating reviews and metrics, action planning and robust problem solving.
  • Achieve established safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals ensuring sufficient capacity exists to meet customer commitments
  • Ensure assigned employees are aware / comply with all GE government, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Monitor & improve cost productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality & compliant manner
  • Control manufacturing processes through plans that consider personal requirements, materials, sub-contracting, facilities, tooling and equipment
  • Have a strong focus on positive employee and union relations
  • Select, train, and develop plant leadership team
  • Be responsible for driving continuous improvements in shops to ensure that internal business metrics are met
  • Provide ongoing supervision and counseling for employees, guiding them and assisting with career development and training
  • Collaborate and problem-solve cross-functionally to achieve business objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience
