Job Summary:

The F135 Sustainment Supply Chain Deputy Supply Manager will deliver products and services in support of the F-35’s (Joint Strike Fighter) F135 Propulsion System within an extremely fast-moving global network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be involved in all aspects of F135 Initial & Replenishment Spares support, from final planning on the range & depth of spares to be ordered, to spares sales order placements, sales order follow-ups, expedites, and delivery statusing.  You will be a key player on a team that continuously refines material item management and logistics support capabilities.  This position affords the incumbent the opportunity to be involved in the rapid expansion of the F135 operational support construct.  Candidates with a passion for the delivery of world-class customer support services will thrive in this position.
  • Analyze spares redistribution decision support data, then directly engage in the redistribution of spare materials to support fleet global availability goals. Proactively monitor spares’ forecasts & usage for operational field and depot sites and coordinate appropriate spares redistribution actions to satisfy forecasted demand.
  • Analytical skills are a must for a FLS; individual must be able to organize, logically analyze and present spares information that may be pulled in from several info systems.  Coordinate with the Delivery Assurance organization to highlight, track, and report on delivery performance issues.
  • This position will require the individual to effectively lead meetings, provide information cross-functionally in a dynamic environment, and brief senior leaders at times.  The incumbent will also be expected to effectively provide coaching and mentoring to P3 level individuals.
  • This is a multi-service, multi-national fighter engine program, with significant growth potential. The ability to manage F135 spare part order placement through contract execution, fleet retrofit support activities and distribution, and transactional level work simultaneously with higher-level sustainment supply chain projects is a must.
  • This position is also responsible for actively manage the alignment of MRP to Demand, leading integration with Industrial and Engineering partners as well as MRP Controllers and Delivery Assurance to collaborate on adjusting orders, allocating orders, and working through issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; or, Associates Degree or 2-year post high school training and 12 years of operational supply chain and/or logistics management capacity required, including at least 5 years of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and/or inventory management experience required
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in an operational supply chain and/or logistics management capacity required
  • At least 5 years of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and/or inventory management experience required
  • At least 3 years of proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of PW/Raytheon internal supply policies, practices, and standard work is highly desired, as is proficiency in the complete range of SAP spares-related transactions.
  • A working knowledge of current Department of Defense engine material and logistics support concepts is beneficial.
  • Leadership/management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills are a must: individual must be able to organize, logically analyze and present spares information that may be pulled in from several info systems.
  • The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate work experience that details examples of self-starting ability, initiative, and capacity to drive complex issues to closure.
  • Advanced Excel skills are preferred.  Experience with MS Access, Power BI, SQL, VBA is a plus.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
