The Facility Manager has overall responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and coordination of all facility services, processes, systems, and industrial machinery.
Normal business hours Monday through Friday including being on call. This person will be responsible for a staff of 5.
Note, for this position you must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
This position is located in Sanford, Florida.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own a preventative maintenance program including regular inspections of buildings and grounds.
- Leads & supervises the facilities staff and vendor base.
- Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities and department employees.
- Keep track of the daily schedule and delegate work orders.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine a clear path forward.
- Work cross-functionally with all levels of staff and vendors on the path to solutions.
- Oversees and engages in repairs to vehicles, man lifts, and aircraft ground support equipment.
- Perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Ensures vendors are compliant with Constant Aviation needs and requests.
- Oversee performance of outsourced landscaping & in-house janitorial programs.
- Performs complex maintenance duties as necessary.
- Respond to emergency facility requests.
- Assist in soliciting costs for capital budgets.
- Prepares facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Participates in workplace health, safety, and Hazmat programs.
- Displays internal and external customer service.
- Manage and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Aviation experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance.
- Automotive, aircraft ground support equipment, or industrial maintenance experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical acumen of building systems, certified in HVAC is a plus.
- OSHA training certificate is a plus.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must pass a background check for an airport security badge (SIDA).
- Furnish hand and power tools to fulfill maintenance projects.
- Familiarity with work order systems.
- Strong attention to detail and professional appearance.
- Certificate(s) for operating a fork, scissor, or articulating lifts is a plus.
