Job Description:

Cirrus Aircraft is looking for a finance manager to be trusted by our manufacturing and supply chain operations leaders on key strategic projects. This position will collaborate with senior leadership and lead a team of financial analysts within the operations business unit to implement Key Performance Indicators, leveraging and improving upon existing metrics, and identifying business trends through related measurement and analysis. This position will also analyze historical spending trends, evaluate different scenarios and help the business team understand potential trade-offs.

Business Finance Support

  • Prepare, maintain, and develop critical insights from KPIs generated in collaboration with manufacturing operations, supply chain and finance leadership
  • Participates in preparation of annual financials budgets and updated financial projections as needed to track performance and outlook of projects
  • Perform sensitivity analysis around key assumptions to provide guidance around potential outcomes
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis as requested
  • Informs, maintains, and validates reporting tools for manufacturing leadership analysis
  • Support senior leadership in analyzing and evaluating M&A opportunities.

Data & Reporting

  • Influence financial reporting for a business area and may supervise or teach others in areas of financial reporting
  • Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards
  • Prepares actual to budget/forecast variance analysis, including identification of headcount, operating, outsourcing, and expense savings opportunities, and provides actionable recommendations to manufacturing operations leadership as well as identification of potential risks, meanwhile encouraging accountability for achieving forecasted/plan results

Communication

  • Engages in monthly reviews, providing financial insights to key drivers of change and ensuring results are well understood by decision makers
  • Collaborates with manufacturing and Supply Chain team to make recommendations for scalable business solutions related to planning and budgeting
  • Acts as liaison between business team and accounting department ensuring transactions are appropriately accounted for in the financial

Team Leadership

  • Working on multiple projects at a time, this role will focus on the details while simultaneously working to take on high level/big picture challenges
  • Take part in hiring, developing, and mentoring activities while you seek value, and leverage diverse perspectives
  • Lead team of Financial Analysts within manufacturing operations & supply chain
  • Provide financial outlook and performance, actively participating in cross-functional meetings, and presenting relevant reporting and documents to senior management

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in financial analysis; including demonstrated leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial forecasts and appropriately represent financial information
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional fast-paced environment and to drive operational initiatives
  • Aptitude to take charge, set objectives, lead by influence and drive results
