The IT organisation manages and is accountable for the rapid delivery of the trustworthy, scalable, and efficient IT services needed to support easyJet’s future growth plans and ambitions.
The Enterprise Technology function develops and manages platforms and services which support our internal functions such as People (or HR), Finance, Risk, Compliance, Security and Facilities. The People IT Team sits within the Enterprise Technology function and is specifically responsible for the technology supporting acquisition, talent, colleague development, payroll, reward and internal communications.
Over the next two years we will be embarking on a major transformation programme for our people systems and function. To maximise the effectiveness of the programme we will be assigning some of our most experienced resources. This has created a back-fill, interim, position to allow the current Senior Technology Manager to focus on supporting that important initiative.
Job Purpose
The Interim Senior Technology Manager is end-to-end accountable for delivering efficient Enterprise services to support the People function. easyJet operates a number of systems supporting our People business teams. The purpose of the role is to ensure that systems operate efficiently, support our low-cost model, ensure that our platforms align to our business strategies and align to our technical architecture strategy.
Many of our systems are provided as software as a service. Close relationships with key suppliers is a key part of this role
What youll be doing
This role is accountable for the People Platforms within the Enterprise team. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Technology, this role additionally has responsibility for team management and talent development of the Platform team.
Architecture Management
· Supporting Platform design & architecture, security & compliance by design, systems integration, system optimisation & improvement, technology evaluation and selection, in conjunction with the Platform Architecture Specialists, Technical Architects and Enterprise Architects
Engineering Management
· Defining and overseeing Platform engineering & configuration, reliability engineering & performance, task & process automation, lifecycle management, quality assurance as well as maintenance, support & troubleshooting
Team Management
· Managing the Platform team through empowering and enabling people, giving and receiving feedback and evaluating and ensuring the efficacy and effectiveness of team members.
IT Stakeholder Management
· Driving stakeholder management, needs assessment, business relationship development as well as communication and coordination.
Risk & Compliance Management
· Driving technology risk management, delivery risk management, disaster recovery management, patch compliance management and supplier risk management.
Supplier & Contract Management
· Driving contract management, supplier governance, supplier performance management, i.e. tracking performance and executing the performance management process.
Value & Performance Management
· Supporting performance monitoring & reporting, value measurement and performing value optimisation and continuous improvement.
· Driving our low-cost model by keeping operating expenses low, reviewing contract lengths aligned to technical and business strategy and driving low-cost options
- Ensuring budget, forecast, actuals and budgetary deviations are updated on a regular basis for review with Finance.
