The MS&B Business Development & Strategy is a newly constructed organization based on three strategic pillars: Global Reach, Global Control, and Global Strike.
As part of the Global Reach Pillar organization, we are looking for a new Capture Team Leader to lead the entire coordinated effort to win the USAF KC-135 Recapitalization effort.
This position will report to Sean Liedman, MS&B Director, Business Development and Strategy – Global Reach, located in Everett, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the ability to translate BDS and MS&B strategy to a win for the Boeing Company in the USAF KC-135 Recapitalization effort
Responsible for win strategy ideation, positioning and proposal mapping for the KC-135 Recap effort
Build a KC-135 Recap program that demonstrably fits within the Joint Air Dominance Command and Control Network (JADC2) model
Effectively shape the market for future sales accounting for an additional ~$10B of opportunities for the KC-46 franchise
Collaborate with business partners and key stakeholders across BDS, BGS, BCA, Program Management and with functional leaders in Engineering and Supply Chain to drive capture team output
Represent MS&B with key stakeholders in the customer community, government, industry, and media. Liaise with international government officials and the US Defense Department to include the Secretary of the Air Force and subordinate divisions (AQ/IQ), HQ USAF/AMC, and the operator community in support of the KC-46 Program of Record
Collaborate closely with Boeing colleagues in BCA, BGS, WDC Gov Ops, Field Marketing, International Business Development, and Boeing International in support of current and future KC-46 customers
Coordinate across BGS, BDS, BCA, and the Boeing enterprise to form cross-functional teams in support of the Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP) to create, develop, and shape the KC-135 Recap campaign objectives, including direct management of New Business Funds (NBF)
Demonstrate industry-wide knowledge in all domains (sub-surface, surface, ground, air, space, and cyber) of the global market (domestic and intl) in both government (to include defense) and commercial markets
Lead the development of market assessments, campaign strategies, customer engagement plans, and operational gap analysis to identify and develop a compelling offering for DoD, US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, and US Intelligence Community programs as well as international partners
Establish and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience developing and deploying organizational strategies and leading long-range business plan processes
5+ years of experience facilitating internal and external customer interfaces and requirements
Extensive demonstrable critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape customer requirements, budgets and capture strategies
Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams
Experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk and opportunity management to drive performance
Knowledge of the United States government acquisition process (DFARs)

Summary pay range: $204,850 – $277,150
