The Maintenance Control Manager works to ensure the safety of Life Flight Network (LFN) aircraft, including, but not limited to: practices, processes and maintenance operations as well as ensuring the consistent application of LFN’s maintenance quality standards and the adherence to LFN’s policies and regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Control Manager will have a broad knowledge of the aviation industry; ensuring all practices happen within LFN’s Part 135 Air Carrier certificate, company policies and federal regulation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Maintenance or Technology or a related field or equivalent or combination of education and experience preferred
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification required
  • Inspection Authorization Certification preferred
  • Five years as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic required
  • Three years of Part 135 maintenance experience required
  • Three years’ experience working for an EMS helicopter program preferred
  • Maintenance experience on AW119, BH407, BH429, EC135, PC12 preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solution oriented with an ability to take initiative; creating, implementing and improving policies and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Analytical abilities sufficient to handle complex technical and administrative matters and take initiative, creating, implementing and improving processes and policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Previous supervisory experience of multiple employees
  • Expert level knowledge of both paper and electronic aircraft logbooks and maintenance records
  • Expert level knowledge of aircraft record keeping requirements and knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Experience with aviation electronic recordkeeping system(s): account management, aircraft configuration, life limited parts, and maintenance activity documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and work independently or with a team
  • Acute attention to detail and self-motivated with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance
  • Able to travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN’s service area. Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile in good repair, provide proof of auto insurance and meet LFN’s Driver’s Policy requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Ensures compliance with current FAA Regulations, Inspection/Compliance Standards, company policies and procedures
  • Performs, participates in and or manages all duties related to maintenance records
  • Ensures accurate and timely execution review of all required inspection records, reports and forms 
  • Manages multiple personnel over multiple shifts times
  • Assists the Director of Aviation Maintenance Quality in the development of improved methods and procedures for the performance of quality assurance functions
  • Assists in the maintenance of in-house technical publication library; ensures technicians have access to publications as required
  • Performs audits of maintenance logbook entries, work packages generated by the maintenance department, processes and procedures
  • Acts as a liaison between management and technicians to ensure accurate, status and availability of aircraft 
  • Performs other functions as related to quality and records as requested by the Director of Aviation Maintenance Quality
  • Communicates and manages status of A/C between multiple departments, including material movement, parts ordering, Purchase Order approval, personnel movement etc.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing processes and procedures surrounding the Maintenance Control Center, its responsibility, and interaction with all operational departments
  • Manages a 24-hour control center to monitor and ensure regulatory compliance of all LFN Part 135 aircraft

Salary Range: 127,940.80 - 148,678.40
