Job Description:
  • The Maintenance Manager shall possess a background in the field of aircraft maintenance and material support with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the last twenty (20) years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification.
  • Of the ten (10) years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, six (6) years shall be in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts.
  • Of the six (6) years, a minimum of one (1) year shall be in a maintenance/production control position. The most recent five (5) years must have been supporting and maintaining fighter aircraft.
  • The Maintenance Manager must have experience in managing maintenance departments larger than 200 personnel with a focus on mission and generating
    readiness.
  • The Maintenance Manager must be knowledgeable of application of Technical Directives and COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2(series), be knowledgeable of supply procedures, and be capable of managing the scheduled maintenance requirements for F-16 aircraft.
  • The Maintenance Manager shall have at least two (2) years of experience in the DoD Weight and Balance program, and be capable of executing the weighing of an aircraft IAW NAVAIR-01-1B-50.
  • The Maintenance Manager shall be qualified and designated as the Program’s primary Weight and Balance official.
  • The Maintenance Manager shall oversee the Maintenance Operations Manager as well as project all scheduled maintenance.
