Job overview and responsibilities

As a Manager on the Customer Insights & Analytics team, you will influence a multi-phased insights and analytics strategy that supports a continuous cycle of listening, interpreting, driving action and monitoring customer feedback.

This role requires an individual with a passion for customers, excellent analytical abilities, and strong business acumen. The role requires leading a team and using data to influence internal and external stakeholders to make key strategic business decisions.

We are seeking creative, driven and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling tough problems with data and insights.

  • Effectively manage a team to help ensure that all engagements are delivered at or above stakeholder expectations.
  • Extracts data from a variety of sources for use in analysis and models; leverages data for ad-hoc reporting and data analysis
  • Identify issues, create hypotheses, and translate data into meaningful insights; present recommendations to key decision makers.
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of reports, analyses, dashboards to drive key business decisions
  • Build predictive models and analyze results for dissemination of insight to leadership of the numerous operations groups at United
  • Prepare presentations that summarize data and help facilitate decision-making for business partners and senior leadership team.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a quantitative discipline like Applied Mathematics, Statistics
  • 6+ years of analytics-related experience
  • Excellent leadership and presentation skills
  • Knowledge in querying and manipulating relational databases via Teradata SQL Assistant, Oracle SQL Developer, MySQL, Microsoft SQL
  • Experience with quantitative analysis tools (R, Python) and visualization reporting (Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire, Power BI)
  • Proven analytical and quantitative ability; use data and metrics to validate hypothesis and perform root cause analyses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work on several projects at a time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Preferred

  • Experience in using statistical techniques.
  • Experience in digital insights and measurement of tests/campaigns (conversion, micro-conversion, etc.)
  • Experience with experimentation methodology (A/B testing and MVT testing analysis principals) and identifying optimization opportunities through data analysis/hypothesis generation.
  • Experience in utilizing web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Quantum Metric etc. Ability to analyze website traffic, user behavior, and conversion data to provide actionable insights for optimizing digital marketing strategies and enhancing user experience.
  • Experience in conducting qualitative analysis of customer behavior through methods such as user interviews, surveys, and usability testing. Ability to translate qualitative data into actionable insights to inform product development, marketing strategies, and user experience enhancements.
  • Experience with machine learning and optimization models.
  • Knowledge of airline industry
