Job Description:
As the Airport Operations Manager, you will:
- Assume responsibility for the safety and daily management of airside operations, reporting directly to the Airport Director.
- Act as the subject matter expert for all aerodrome operations, providing expert advice to Executive Board members and Senior Management.
- Ensure compliance with CAA regulations and oversee aerodrome regulatory matters.
- Manage Aerodrome Ground Operations departments to regulatory standards.
- Develop and enhance the airport safety management system and safety culture.
- Lead investigations into major airfield safety occurrences and identify hazards to minimize operational impact.
- Implement and manage change initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Support business development initiatives and manage FOD*Boss distributorship.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and nurture relationships to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Proven leadership capability with experience in airfield and airport operations.
- Significant experience in a CAA regulated environment with exposure to safety management systems.
- Detailed understanding of Safety Management Systems and regulatory compliance.
- Full/Clean Driving License and Introduction to Airfield Operations Course required.
- UK CAA Accountable Manager and Nominated Person Certificate desirable.
