The Account Specialist, Partnership Product Center, will work with the Supply Chain Manager as well as the Value Stream Manager and their teams to pro-actively identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and assist in the development of plans, which allow us to meet organizational objectives.

Pratt and Whitney has an opportunity for a Manager – Carlsbad Procurement. This position reports to the Associate Director of Non-Product Procurement.

Do you have the experience to join the Global Supply Chain Team?

The Manager – Carlsbad Procurement. role is both exciting & challenging. This position will focus on supply chain activities; specifically procurement activities for both Product and Non-Product Procurement at the Carlsbad Mod Center and will be the focal across Pratt & Whitney for their Procurement needs.

You will be responsible for issuing requests for proposals, source selection, issuing Purchase Orders and managing vendors for goods and services to support Pratt & Whitney’s needs along with delivery assurance. You will work closely with the project managers to forecast needs and find supply chain solutions that meet their project schedule and budget requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with the Strategic Sourcing Managers to develop & execute strategies to lower costs across all P&W sites globally.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensuring compliance with ethics and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Executing sourcing and procurement strategies - Ensuring proposals, contract terms and conditions, statements of work, etc., align and support sourcing strategies
  • Coordinating with internal customers to forecast needs and develop supply chain strategies to support key projects
  • Managing key suppliers to ensure they are compliant to P&W policies and provide their goods and services on schedule and within budget
  • Project managing critical suppliers and deliverables to support Pratt & Whitney’s digital transformation projects
  • Participating in supplier negotiations - Measuring Key Performance Indicators to ensure continued progress toward achieving annual goals.
  • Driving continuous improvement of procurement processes, including collaboration with key stakeholders and adoption of new tools

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in supply chain, business, or other related field and 8 years of experience in supply chain, operations, digital technologies, or other related field; OR an advanced degree with 5 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Supply Chain experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and of U.S. government procurement policies.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
