Job Summary

Under limited supervision of the Senior Vice President, Engineering and Facilities, responsible for leading, managing, and setting the strategic direction for the airport asset management program.  

Here is how the Manager, Facility Assets will help:   

  • Develop and implement the facility asset management program (facilities/infrastructure, baggage handling, mechanical systems, and equipment).
  • Provide ongoing analysis of assets and drive business decisions to ensure the lowest possible operating cost over the life of the assets.
  • Lead the development of detailed asset management plans (AMPs) through collaborative workshops and analysis & champion any improvement plans
  • Work collaboratively with Maintenance to develop effective PM programs
  • Oversee and manage the relationship between Maintenance (Airline Services, Facilities, and Field) as well as Finance and Business Development in order to facilitate business plans (including, but not limited to ongoing maintenance and renewal/replacement plans for Airport assets).
  • Assist in the development of asset management processes and procedures in consideration to both Facility Asset Management and Finance/Accounting requirements.
  • Collect data to develop justification for capital projects to upgrade or replace systems or equipment.
  • Maintain the accuracy and scope of the asset registry through onboarding & decommissioning processes
  • Responsible for the daily management and improvements to the Capital Asset Management (CAM) system 
  • Provide troubleshooting/support/training services to JD Edwards users related to the work order lifecycle.
  • Conduct return on investment analysis for assistance in justifying the needs of capital projects and participate in the annual capital budgeting process.
  • Participate in ongoing mobile workforce initiatives.
  • Assist with development of database queries and ad-hoc reports.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Preferred Requirements to apply for the role of Manager, Facility Assets are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering or business administration from an accredited college or university.  
  • 5 years related experience in maintenance supervision of a large complex. Experience supervising a multi-operational and unionized workforce preferred. 
  • Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid driver’s license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.

 

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:  

  • General knowledge of:
    • The policies, practices, and techniques of general management, administration, and procurement.
    • Engineering, construction, and maintenance methods, practices, and procedures.
    • The functionality of facility mechanical and electrical systems (including, but not limited to, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, conveyance systems, etc.) 
    • BIM and its ability to integrate to computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for purposes of streamlining maintenance, repairs, and capital planning.
    • Implementing new processes or procedures to large groups of frontline supervisory staff.

 

  • General Ability to:
    • Check and evaluate engineering plans, designs, and specifications; ability to interpret O&M manuals and equipment warranty information.  
    • Provide presentations to senior management on the asset management program:
    • Apply engineering theory and practice to practical field and office engineering problems.
    • Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive written documents and reports in English.
    • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Function independently and exercise considerable judgment in the resolution of problems.
    • Communicate honestly and effectively both orally and in writing with diverse constituencies on a variety of levels.
    • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

  • Ability to:
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point, and JD Edwards (including ReportsNow).
    • procure and manage consultants/contractors.
