Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the LADS SBU for a program located in Tucson, AZ. In this role, the candidate will have material CAM responsibilities and require experience with project management. The successful candidate will be directly accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance. To be successful, the candidate must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal and external management.

The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, proposal development and negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to risk and opportunity management, EVMS CAM experience, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. 

This position is an onsite role.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and lead supply chain proposal activities
  • Conduct supplier assessments (RESA)
  • Responsibility for reporting and tracking of the delivery of procured material from suppliers, through external testing, and shipment to destination
  • Develop and status EACs
  • Complete material contract closeout activities
  • Provides Supply Chain support for Gates 2-11 and ensure Integrated Product Development Program (IPDP) compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable
  • Act as the material Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Prepare and develop material pricing strategy, supplier flow down strategy and supplier negotiation strategy
  • Work with contracts and Supply Chain Advisor to create Contract Flow through Briefs (CFB)
  • Establish risks, opportunities and mitigation plans
  • Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
  • Material Sales Forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) development and status
  • Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers
  • Willingness to travel domestically, as required

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of eight (8) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified
  • CAM experience
  • Internal and external negotiation experience
  • Experience working development and/or transition to production programs
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Able to coordinate strategies and manage tactical execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support complex product development efforts ​

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
