Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Level K) to join our 737 Fulfillment organization and lead teams in Seattle, Washington (737 Seattle Delivery Center) or Renton, Washington (737 Pre-flight) on 3rd shift.

The successful candidate is someone who can join and lead teams, understand the strategic aspect of the organization and associated initiatives, work in a complex organization, and can leverage their knowledge of the company and multiple functional disciplines to meet supply chain management goals and our internal and external customers’ expectations. Candidates must be able to translate strategic goals into tactical actions that are understandable to the team. They must respond with urgency to request and ability to research situations then advise on resolution.  They will advise cross-functional teams regarding status, changes or improvements of requests and follow ups.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Manage and integrate employee activity across multiple areas in materials management.

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.

  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, monitor progress, and lead process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manage, develop and motivate employees utilizing OneBPS (Boeing Production System) processes and principles (PSQDCI / Kamishibai boards, standard and leader standard work, operational DwD performance metrics, etc.).

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

  • 3+ years of experience working in a Supply Chain or a Manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • 3+ years of experience in strategic thinking and leadership skills

  • Must be able to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends (managers periodically rotate to other shifts)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace/operations manufacturing management

  • 3+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing and the Boeing Production System

  • 3+ years of experience in Warehousing and Inventory management

  • 3+ years of hazmat experience

  • 3+ years of tooling experience

  • Understanding of an AOG (Aircraft On Ground) environment

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $114,300 - $139,700
