Overview

Job Summary

The Manager-Data Management Operations & Supply Chain position leads and drives master data and transactional data quality and governance that impact the day-to-day operations, intelligence, and decisions taken throughout our Operations & Supply Chain. This position is responsible for leading a of Data Analysts to drive best-in-class business processes for specific data domains and data objects by working hand in hand with the data owners in the business. The role will share common goals of data quality, process improvements, and standardization in overall data management with functional data owners that are part of the teams across Operations & Supply Chain. The scope of the data will include areas throughout Engineering, Supply Chain and Supply Management (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Scheduling, Outbound Logistics, Inbound Logistics, Warehouse Management, Order Fulfillment, Order Management) as well as throughout Operations (Engineering, Capacity Management, Part/Item master data) and others.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Own the governance, quality, and process expertise for the domains of Operations & Supply Chain Data and part number/item master data within your responsibility
  • Ensure processes synchronize supply and demand streams in order to optimize the provisioning, allocations, and deployment of Maintenance parts. Introduces new tools to improve inventory planning beyond current modeling function and improve efficiency of planners tool set.
    • Drive supply chain innovations.
  • Conduct analyses focused on data in our source systems (i.e., ERP, Advanced Planning, and related Operations, Supply Management, & Supply Chain systems) to lead root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement of data quality via rule-based logic for the highest degrees of data integrity 
  • Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage.
    • Manage data resource and project deliverables for key process improvements, mass data changes, data validations and migrations, and similar activities initiated within the Data Organization and received from business partners.
  • Maintain analytical systems & detailed documentation by verifying accuracy of the data and acting as a liaison to the business to drive effective data quality improvements
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to achieve department and Company objectives. Accepts assignments and represents department on internal task forces or working groups.
  • Empower and collaborate with local data leaders to achieve common objectives and develop best in class solutions that focus on accuracy and automation

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises an employee in this organization. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree (BS/BA) from four-year College or university with seven or more years relevant experience and/or training
  • 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience in data management and planning within an ERP environment.
  • Knowledge of FAA and FAR regulations 

Skills  

  • Demonstrated expertise driving an Enterprise Data Management area that enabled tangible business outcome realization through leveraging data as a competitive asset.
  • Proven experience supporting "business outcome metrics that drives the appropriate data to govern.
  • Domain expertise in multiple functional areas of Operations & Supply Chain plus broader practical experience across multiple professional disciplines within the organization, combining theory, past practical experience and the organizations business practices within Enterprise Data Management domain.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • RAMCO experience preferred

Pay Range
USD $108,000.00 - USD $155,000.00 /Yr.
