It’s an exciting time to be part of Delta’s Reservations organization as we transform and set new standards for the world-class experiences we are creating for customers and thousands of Res & Care employees. We have recently expanded support capabilities and reorganized our approach to project execution with the newly established RES Strategic Portfolio Management and PMO team focused on leading business-critical planning and processes to drive prioritization, monitoring, and execution of high-value initiatives across the division. The PMO team will facilitate cross-functional ideation and collaboration, build resources, and share best practices to further support work groups in delivering impact. The RES PMO Project Manager will have a passion for people, process, and impact to support the development and execution of a Center of Excellence for strategic portfolio management. The ideal candidate blends strong PM skills with strategic curiosity, design thinking, and a desire to help drive our business forward.

Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
  • Lead the project management of high-value initiatives across the RES division, including coordinating tasks from project initiation and planning to execution and closure
  • Create and maintain project artifacts including project charters, project plans, risk and issue logs, and parking lots
  • Manage several concurrent projects of varying priority and complexity, across multiple teams or stakeholders
  • Help lead the evolution of the organization’s culture at the functional level, ensuring a strong tie-in to stakeholders across the broader enterprise
  • Develop communication strategies and implement processes, activities, and programs that result in timely dissemination of information and communication consistency, increasing awareness of the project deliverables, change management, and impact
  • Support the development of business cases, prioritization, and overall divisional portfolio management
  • Maintain & establish effective relationships and feedback loops between leaders, functional stakeholders, and cross-divisional Delta teams
  • Support the evolving design and growth of the RES PMO function and the development of a Center of Excellence for strategic portfolio management
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience related to Project Management, Change
  • Management, and/or Organizational Development
  • Excellent synthesizing, organization, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability and a proven track record of success in managing and delivering 
    multiple projects of varying sizes and complexity
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work across the 
    organization, and the ability to build and effectively manage relationships with 
    stakeholders and senior management
  • Ability to lead and work independently and within the team
  • Proficiency in written and oral communications, and ability to produce concise documents 
    for executive presentations
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in their present position
  • Models Delta’s Rules of the Road, core values, and safety-conscious behaviors
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or experience managing tasks in accordance with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards
  • Experience with PowerApps, Sharepoint, and project management software is strongly desired
  • Enjoys working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and agressive timelines
