What You Will Be Doing

This leader will integrate, lead, and manage a team of Production Control (PC) professionals supporting Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Production Operations. This includes multiple Lines of Business within the ADP portfolio and multiple types of programs, from development to prototyping to production.
• Provides strategic direction that aligns the PC team to achieve ADP and Prod Ops goals for current and future business. This includes: developing organizational structure, providing staffing forecast, constraint management, shortage control, and behind schedule.
• Provides leadership and participates in continuous improvement activities (lean events, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, etc.) and incorporates solution sets to improve processes and systems.
• Drives execution for affordability and producibility initiatives.
• Must be focused with exceptional oral and written communication skills and strong customer relations skills.
• Must be a problem solver with strong analytical skills.
• Will lead and participate in multi-site, cross-functional Production Control Council.
• Through the Council, will influence implementation of best practices across the enterprise.
• The leader will also participate in talent management across the enterprise through the Council.
• Must be a champion for Culture of Accountability efforts across the Palmdale Site.

This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale.
Basic Qualifications:
• Extensive Production Control experience

• Working knowledge of Shop Floor Control Processes &/or material flow systems

• Experience with budget management

• Previous leadership, supervisory, &/or managerial experience

• Experience with Lean concepts

• Experience with coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, &/or performance assessment
Desired Skills:
- Must be able to build effective relationships as position requires extensive interface across organizations

- Working knowledge of LM Aero Production Systems (SAP, SFM, QADS, MS Office)

- Other related experience in Production Operations including BOM Planning, Procurement, Sustainment, Warehousing Scheduling and Demand Management

- Ability to interface with and present to multiple levels of leadership in the organization

- Blackbelt / Experience with lean material flow methodologies in a growing manufacturing environment using Plan For Every Part (PFEP) concept

- Experience with project management

- Experience working in a Bargaining Union environment

- American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $121,300 - $232,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $139,400 - $262,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
