About the Position:
The Production Manager oversees a large team of skilled labour including Crew Chiefs, AMEs, and Apprentices.  The Production Manager is responsible for the efficient deployment of labour for the accomplishment of line maintenance, major inspections, and maintenance projects.  The Production Manager plays a key role in the provision of high-quality, regulatory compliant maintenance activity that satisfies customer needs. 


What you will do:

  • Plan and assign labour and equipment resources to support scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activity.
  • Facilitate the planning of heavy maintenance inspections, including labour assignment, team lead designation, procurement coordination, and tooling/equipment logistics.
  • Manage staff and contractor schedules ensuring the efficient deployment of contractors and managing overall costs.
  • Manage and approve labour resources in accordance with our Corporate QA Manual.  
  • Maintain and enhance a performance-focused culture that is safe, respectful, collaborative, and customer driven while engaging employees and fostering pride in their work. 
  • Provide regular coaching on employee work performance, driving continuous skill development for high performance through encouragement and ongoing support.
  • Review all work-related documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance to internal and external maintenance requirements, including ensuring corrective actions are correctly documented and adhered to.
  • Oversee hangar equipment and the overall work environment maximizing service and availability, including ensuring tooling is appropriate to support planned maintenance activities.
  • Anticipate and adjust to operational considerations associated with seasonal weather.


What you bring:

  • A College Diploma/University Degree in Aviation or Maintenance
  • Licensed AME (M2) with a minimum of ten years’ work experience including hands-on experience within business aviation and working with small to global sized airplanes.
  • Ability to forecast time consumption of different maintenance tasks to provide accurate schedule planning while maintaining a flexible approach to unforeseen changes.
  • Deep, broad technical aircraft management expertise and thorough knowledge of all safety requirements.
  • Highly organized individual, able to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change and adapt to different requirements and conditions.
  • Comfortable using multiple software and different technological platforms to maintain track and record of maintenance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to successfully lead large teams, influencing, motivating, and engaging people to work together as a cohesive group.
  • Skilled in providing feedback, managing conflicts, and having difficult conversations.

Must be able to work from 6 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday while flexible and available to support after-hours needs including occasionally on weekends.
