Job Description:

Responsible to provide technical coordination in support of configuration and change management within the various DFJ Engineering departments, various DFJ Departments outside of Engineering, and Dassault Aviation in France. Topics are associated to product improvements, stylistic design evolutions of Falcon interiors, product obsolescence, weight reduction, cost reductions, customer support feedback and other topics as required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Coordinate with Program Engineers to ensure that Design Engineering conforms to company procedures for design control.
  • Establish and meet program objectives as outlined by the Program Engineer.
  • Utilize multiple databases in order to extract pertinent information for analytical purposes to ensure proper resources allocation and validate deadline commitments.
  • Demonstrate creative and mature judgment in anticipating and solving technical problems.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in order to maintain the aircraft production flow.
  • Recommend Program Engineering process/ procedure improvements.
  • Liaison and coordination with production as required.
  • Maintain Configuration management (M400/M4000, PCS/DPCS, QECS, CCB, CSR, etc.) Control
  • Coordinate with Aircraft Design Managers, Lead Project Engineers, Program Managers, and Resource Managers in the development of project schedules, clear definition of deliverables, and adherence to program plan and budget
  • Exercise good judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Regularly demonstrate initiative and the ability to be pro-active.
  • Display a positive attitude and work ethic and work well in a team environment.
  • Work closely with staff and supervision.
  • Willingly accept additional assignments/ projects as directed by supervision.
  • Confers with engineering personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Ensure that Company procedures and processes are followed.
Job Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field. Lesser educational background with relevant experience will be considered. *
  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in a manufacturing technical environment.
    Requirement may be reduced to three (3) years professional experience in an aircraft
    Engineering environment with Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrate CATIA/PLM knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the FAR’s, Regulations, and Certification Requirements as applicable to Configuration Management.

*Two (2) years Aircraft Engineering environment = 1 year towards degree requirement
4 years Non-Aircraft Engineering environment = 1 year towards degree requirement
