Laser and Sensor Systems (LSS) program team is seeking a self-driven, disciplined leader experienced with successfully delivering complex cross-functional projects on schedule within budget. To be successful in this position, the candidate must have the ability to facilitate and drive to closure complex technical/non-technical issues with practical solutions. The candidate must show willingness to dive deep to uncover insights into those issues and their associated solutions. A strong candidate is customer-focused and displays a bias for action in everything they do. The ability to effectively communicate with senior management and other functional departments within the organization is key to success.
Specifically, the role is as the program manager for the Shipboard Panoramic Electro-Optic/Infrared (SPEIR) program. The program manager role is focused on driving day to day actions to closure including holding the matrixed program team accountable for commitments, facilitating administrative activities such as program measurement and control, and providing program direction to multiple teams. The role is a critical team member supporting focus programs and products within the Laser and Sensor Systems business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• SPEIR program execution
• Executing new business activities including proposals
• Coordinating program execution and business growth activities across lifecycle phases including capture, design, development, and prototype production
• Working with a cross functional team across multiple LM sites and business areas
• Reporting program status to senior internal LM leadership for focus programs
The program manager acts as an internal and external customer interface for their programs. The program manager executes multiple simultaneous projects including USG contracts, IWTAs, IRAD, capital projects, and new business funds (NBF) activities. The role does require some level of domestic travel to support customer, program, and team requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated program management experience leading complex system development programs over geographically dispersed locations
• Demonstrated strong relationship building and communication with internal and external customers
• Demonstrated business acumen to include understanding of earned value management, negotiations, performance measurement, risk and opportunity management, and successful execution of cost and schedule baselines
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to meet quality, schedule, and cost commitments
• Capture management/proposal management experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to travel to domestically
Desired Skills:
• Experience with the USN customer generally and PEO IWS specifically
• Demonstrated ability to successfully execute a USG program capture
• Knowledge of and/or experience with laser weapon, EO/IR, or IRCM systems
• Data-driven management philosophy
• Demonstrated self-starter who can take imitative to identify and drive continuous improvement across the organization

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $123,500 - $236,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $142,100 - $267,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
