Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing complex naval projects, specifically focusing on submarine modernizations and in-service updates. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of coordinating platform installations, scheduling, and overseeing hardware/software deliveries within the stringent requirements of naval operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize 10 years of project management expertise to oversee and execute submarine modernization projects from inception to completion.
  • Demonstrate leadership by managing a team of 25 or more personnel effectively, ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate platform installations, including hardware and software deliveries, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance with naval regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
  • TOP Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience supporting submarine modernizations and in-service updates.
  • Proven track record of managing teams of 25 or more personnel in a project management capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 15 years of cumulative Naval project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of 35 or more personnel.
  • Advanced knowledge of submarine systems and technologies.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or related fields.
Travel: Willing to travel occasionally
