Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Management/ Principal Project Management (Level 2or 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Global Supply Chain organization.  This role will be 100 onsite located in San Diego, CA; El Segundo, CA; OR Palmdale, CA.

In this role you will be supporting material forecasting across multiple contracts. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse team of skilled individuals who are impactful to the financial forecasting for the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract baselining activities.
  • Monitoring and controlling multiple work packages.
  • Aligning with NGC subcontract teams.
  • Interfacing with Responsible Engineers and Sub-IPT Leads.
  • Initiating and tracking EVCR submissions.
  • Monthly EVMS reporting and explanations.
  • Producing VAR analysis reports.

This position may be filled at a level 2 or level 3

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience, Masters degree with 1 year of experience, or High School Diploma with 7 years of experience. Experience must be in one or more of the following: supply chain management, project/program management, business/financial management. sustainment, proposals, subcontracts, resource planning accounting or manufactuing engineering.
  • MS Office experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must have an Active DOD Secret Clearance, with investigation completed within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience, Masters degree with 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma with 10 years of experience. Experience must be in one or more of the following: supply chain management, project/program management, business/financial management. sustainment, proposals, subcontracts,resource planning accounting or manufactuing engineering.
  • MS Office experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must have an Active DOD Secret Clearance, with investigation completed within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply chain, Business Management, Operations Management experience
  • Experience: Cost, Estimating, CAM (Control Account Management), and/or EVM (Earned Value Management)
  • Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, experience with multiple functions, database analysis techniques
  • Strong business acumen
  • SAP experience
  • Experience providing financial and business support.
  • Process mapping and process improvement experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction using continuous problem solving.
  • Ability to lead through, overcome and adapt to obstacles and challenges; Deals effectively with change and challenges and helps others to do the same.
  • Strong Task & Project Management.
  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance, with Program Special access.
Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100
Salary Range 2: $88,700 - $133,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
