Job Description:

Incorporated in 1999, we support mission-critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA), and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.

ACET is seeking a Navy C-26 Project Manager in our California, MD location.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort in support of aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Maintains the budget and required documentation for the contracted effort.
  • Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
  • Oversees Contractor personnel, and program/project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance, and administrative support effort, and monitoring and reporting progress
  • Responsible for recruitment of new hires and termination of employees either for cause or routine release.
  • Screens all employee candidates to ensure adequate qualifications are met before offers are extended.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee aircraft maintenance projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with NAVAIR contracts and contract-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and practices.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years aircraft maintenance management of aircraft program or project management experience consisting of at least five years of experience directly managing aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Possess a combination of management ability and leadership qualities and be customer-oriented.
  • Knowledgeable of NAVAIR contracts and become familiar with the requirements of the contract and PWS.
  • Must be willing to travel

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, including working overhead. The position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line.
  • Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
  • If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
  • If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
  • Position requires repetitive hand use using wire cutters, crimpers, etc. 
  • Travel may be required.
