Job Description

The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager plays a key role in ensuring the compliance of both company and regulatory requirements within the Quality department and broader FEAM operations. This position requires expertise in data analytics, SharePoint management, and database administration. The role will drive continuous improvement initiatives, facilitate audits, and ensure the seamless execution of quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Manage and provide leadership to a team of quality administrative personnel, ensuring effective execution of daily tasks, guidance, and development of staff.

Process Improvement: Evaluate internal procedures to identify areas for enhancement and lead initiatives to implement improved standards, processes, and procedures across departments.

Documentation: Develop, document, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Quality department and other business units as needed.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards by identifying and addressing systemic issues in policies and procedures.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Gather, analyze, and evaluate data from safety, quality, and maintenance systems to identify trends and report findings to executive management.

Develop and present statistical data, performance analysis, and trend reports to management on a quarterly and annual basis.

Design and create various reports (spreadsheets, charts, graphs) to support ongoing quality programs and projects.

Safety & Quality Monitoring: Monitor emerging safety and quality issues through ongoing data analysis and evaluations, providing management with recommendations for continuous improvement.

Software & System Management: Oversee the company’s SharePoint site and Intelex software, managing permissions, document libraries, and access control for technicians and staff.

Technical Publications Management: Responsible for the technical publications process, updating manuals, tracking revisions and maintenance of a technical library for customer manuals and documents. Manage the distribution of Read and Sign publications to technicians, ensuring awareness of customer and company updates

Technical Data Management: Serve as the company’s focal point for technical aircraft data, managing technicians access to MyBoeingFleet and Airbus World.

Audit Oversight: Manage FEAM’s AS9110 certification process, conducting audits at various company locations to ensure adherence to company, customer, and regulatory standards.

Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement: Investigate findings from internal audits or customer feedback, identify root causes, and ensure corrective action plans are implemented effectively.

Government & Customer Liaison: Act as a liaison between FEAM and government entities, customers, and contractors as necessary.

Authorization Roster Management: Maintain rosters of certified staff and manage technician authorizations, ensuring compliance with airline and regulatory requirements.

Risk Analysis: Perform safety risk analysis and assist in driving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS).

Other Duties: This job description outlines the primary responsibilities of the position but is not all-encompassing. The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in aviation quality assurance or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of 14 CFR Part 145 & 121, as well as EASA regulations.
  • Lean Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics, report generation, and trend analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and advanced SharePoint functionality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to executive management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities.
