The Quality Manager supervises, supports and implements Quality processes, programs and systems. Directs the activities and staff of the Quality Department in the implementation and maintenance of the overall quality system. Develops, plans, and manages actions to assure product compliance to applicable specifications. Coordinates the application of the aerospace quality system with other within PB Fasteners, as well as interfacing with customers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Directly involved with all activities related to AS9100 and NADCAP certification
  • Develops and maintains an internal audit function to meet requirements of the aforementioned standards, as well as all customer requirements.
  • Act as primary Quality system for the company both internally and externally
  • Responsible for employee development including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning, coaching and opportunities
  • Coordinate’s quality system activities with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, sales, marketing, technical services, and suppliers.
  • Facilitates supplier development activities to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  • Maintain and support quality management system (QMS) and AS9100 accreditation
  • Promotes improvement in customer satisfaction and coordinates improvement actions.
  • Acts as a liaison between management and customers on quality-related and customer satisfaction issues.
  • Analyzes defect data, determine root cause, prioritize and lead corrective actions to maximize rate of process improvement.
  • Reviews overall customer ratings on a monthly basis. Works to correct reporting errors and/or to improve company performance to remain a supplier in good standing.
  • Collect and analyze quality performance data and report to upper management.
  • Co-ordinate external communication with regulatory agencies, customers and suppliers.
  • Reviews all customer quality requirements on a continuing basis with operations to ensure that company systems are in compliance.
  • Hands on manager to co-ordinate the implementation of quality system to meet Aerospace Industry standards requirements.
  • Provides internal quality training as required to improve company quality performance and to update company employees on changes in customer requirements.
  • Lead the corrective action teams. Utilize quality tools to achieve product and process improvement.
  • Conducts the EH&S self-inspection and safety huddles for their area of responsibility.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience managing Quality team
  • Strong knowledge in Quality Assurance and related compliance requirements in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience in metal working processes like NDT and heat treating.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods and risk management techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of AS 9100 and NADCAP system requirements and how to satisfy those requirements through the development of internal quality systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of SPC, statistical problem-solving techniques and other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively provide overall direction of Quality Assurance.
  • Strong communications and leadership skills needed to support and/or direct both internal and external customers.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $113700 to $170500 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
