The role:

An exciting opportunity to join British Airways as a Ramp Training Manager has arisen!

In this role you will be responsible for crafting creative, engaging and efficient learning solutions for our below-wing airport operations teams across British Airways.

What you’ll do:
  • Partner with leadership teams to develop long term, and tactical learning strategies that align to their transformational business priorities.
  • Collaborate with all business areas to define their strategic and tactical training requirements.
  • Support business plan delivery by keeping up with company, wider Group and industry trends and offering training expertise where required.
  • Lead course design and ongoing product management activity.
  • Partner with Quality & Compliance teams to ensure all learning interventions are aligned with internal and external regulations and ground standards, including IATA AHM 1110.
  • Ensure capacity and resources are aligned to deliver business area resource plans.
  • Establish and manage relationships with Trade Unions to support the IR landscape and implement change.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
  • Capability to lead and deliver change and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Proven project management and analytical skills.
  • A digital mindset and comfortable using technology to develop innovative training solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to engage all levels of the business.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to balance conflicting priorities.
  • Solution-focused with a creative approach to problem solving.
Your experience:
  • Proven experience of leading a team in a complex, operational environment.
  • IR experience is desirable.
  • Previous experience as a trainer or working in a learning environment, delivering training to airport colleagues is crucial.
  • Airport operations experience is essential.
  • The role holder must be able to hold a valid Airside ID, Airside Driving Permit and retain recency.
