Summary of Essential Duties

 

  • Complete Contour’s Initial New Hire Flight Attendant training and maintain Flight Attendant qualifications by successfully completing yearly recurrent ground training (RGT).
  • Instruct, support, coach, analyze and evaluate Flight Attendant training performance throughout company designated events.
  • Conduct occasional check-rides on current/qualified Flight Attendants.
  • Maintain, demonstrate, and support operational safety, reliability, integrity, consistency, and adherence to corporate values and Safety Management System processes.
  • Work closely with the Inflight and Flight Operations Leadership to support the defined operating strategy for the Inflight Department.
  • Represent the Inflight Department when called upon to meet with business partners and/or regulatory agencies. E.g. FAA, TSA, etc.
  • Provide technical input on Flight Attendant manuals, processes, and procedures when called upon.
  • Performs special projects and other duties assigned or required by the Corporate Leadership team. 
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all matters. 
  • This Supervisor is removed from routine line operations unless manning warrants. 
  • Five-day work week position, with periodic flex days which may include weekends and/or holidays. 
  • Responsible for operating between all primary Contour operations airports. 
  • Mileage in calculated in accordance with the current U.S. Tax Code Rate. 
  • Tolls on workdays shall be charged to the company credit card or reimbursed. 
  • Conduct classroom instruction when necessary. 
  • Must have the ability to travel. 
  • Directs all phases of departmental operations, including training, task forces, recognition programs, scheduling, safety, catering, etc. Implements policy and procedure changes. 
  • Communicate / coordinate with Vice President of Inflight Services to ensure departmental operations are maintained and goals are met. 
  • Maintain high level of expertise as related to Flight Attendant Training, testing, checking and qualification. Including but not limited to training requirements, record-keeping, and the completion of training and training records. 
  • Partners with other departments involving Inflight interaction: Customer Service, Recruitment, Crew Scheduling, Flight Operations, Security/Safety within the Company to maintain safety and increase reliability. 
  • Assists with screening, interviewing, and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation, and supervision of direct reports. Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions, and oversees training and development of staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership. 
Job Requirements:
  • Must be 23 years of age or older.
  • Two (2) or more years Flight Attendant experience in 14 CFR Part 121 and/or 135 operations preferred.
  • Willing and able to relocate to the local area where the regional position’s area of responsibility (this is not a commutable position outside of the local area).
  • Must possess comprehensive understanding of the Flight Attendant role, responsibilities, and daily duties.
  • Possess and maintain a valid US passport or foreign passport.
  • Must possess and maintain possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Available to travel as required.
  • Must be capable of maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in all matters.
  • Must possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screening and thereafter submit to DOT mandated random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must understand, read, and write English
  • Must possess polished and professional appearance.
  • Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines while operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess well-developed people skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of temperaments.
  • Skilled at maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with emphasis on tact and professionalism.
  • Must possess the ability to accomplish duties in a manner that adheres to regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Must be proficient in accessing, comprehending, and applying FAA regulations and guidance materials as required. E.g. 8900.1, SAFO, Cabin Safety Index, etc.
