This role is responsible for Managing and directing activities of employees engaged in the inspection, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft accessories. Job description

  • Ensure that Safety and Security is integrated within all business processes thereby promoting compliance and enabling the development of a positive safety culture. 

  • Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management, and troubleshooting for aircraft maintenance projects 

  • Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost. 

  • Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation. 

  • Establishes, implements, maintains and enforces the standards and systems for completion of all maintenance records required by the regulations and customers. 

  • Performs technical evaluations of assigned aircraft maintenance events to determine root cause; recommends and manages corrective action including the resulting documentation. 

  • Communicates with owner personnel as directed regarding aircraft maintenance schedules and budgets including accurate expectations for approvals for return to service. 

  • Responsible for the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration in accordance with the applicable regulations and customer requirements.  

  • Ensures that the approval for return to service documentation is appropriately maintained by the repair station. 

  • Manage, direct, and develop safe work practices for employees engages in all aspects of inspections, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft accessories. 

  • Regularly interact with customers to promote the Maintenance Department and to measure the level of customer satisfaction. 

  • Participate with personnel actions such as interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, address complaints, and resolve problems. 

  • Ascertains qualifications of all technical employees prior to work assignment through evaluation of their previous experience. 

  • Encourage employee suggestions and involvement in the improvement and growth of the Maintenance Department. 

  • Regularly inspect facility, maintenance equipment, and tools for compliance with safety , operation, condition and ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and orderly manner, meeting Daher appearance standards. 

  • Ensures that the parts are appropriately designated, labeled and stored as required in the RSQM. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Position Requirements:  

  • Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred 

  • Four (4) plus years aviation maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience,  

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in general aviation and/or corporate jet aircraft 

  • Preferred to have one (1) year experience working in a repair station or equivalent. 

  • A&P License required, IA preferred.  

  • Must possess a valid state Drivers License. 

  • Should possess top-tier skills in strategic thinking, financial and economic modeling / analysis, project management, and oral and written presentation. 

 

 

Physical Demands:  

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk and sit; is occasionally required to stand; is regularly required to use both hands to make coordinated movements to grasp, manipulate very small objects; is regularly required to talk or hear; is regularly required to lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting technique is required.  

 

Work Environment:  

  • This position will often require exposure to manufacturing and aircraft repair areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and/or mandatory hearing protection is required.  

 

The range for this role’s base salary is $85,000-$105,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
