GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is an aerospace staffing company specializing in temporary and permanent staffing for general and technical positions in the aviation and aerospace industry.

We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Shop Support Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the production team, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.

This is a senior-level position that requires 3-6 years of relevant experience.

Contract, 6 months plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with production team members to resolve any production-related issues, including making suggestions for process improvement and training team members as needed.

• Conduct quality control and inspection activities, including performing final inspections and preparing reports and making recommendations for improvements.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including adhering to safety procedures and regulations and implementing safety programs.

• Evaluating defective products for potential repair and recommend improvements for repeat problems.

• Interpreting manufacturing and material specifications.

• Advise suppliers and operators on various questions or issues.

• Provide leadership and direction to the production team, including setting goals and objectives, evaluating performance, and coaching and mentoring team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3-6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience in a supervisory role.

• Ability to read and understand manufacturing blueprints and basic GD&T.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with production software.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when needed.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• In-depth understanding of production processes and machinery, including assembly, packaging, and quality control and experience implementing process improvements.

• Experience leading and managing a team and a proven track record of success in a supervisory role.

 

Pay rate-  top rate $40/hr. 

Contract, 6 months plus
