Role Introduction
This role is responsible for supporting the IT Operation team for workflow automation, log ingestion, auto healing, self service automation within ITSM and related tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users, internal technology teams and external vendors to identify fit-for-purpose, reliable, secure and highly-scalable automation solutions to complex business problems
- Analyse and translate user needs into business and technical requirements, design, develop and ensure smooth implementation through collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
- Participate in Scrum activities in various roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner and developers
- Work independently during programme and project execution to ensure successful, on-time delivery by anticipating dependencies and impediments, prioritizing tasks, making trade-offs between business needs and constraints and managing work time efficiently
- Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders through clear communication and documentation
- Plan, prioritize and deliver automation and bug fixes
- Provide Level 2 and 3 support, troubleshoot production systems and services
- Design, build, test and deploy automation solution and/or prototype following best practices
- Work closely with technical leads and architects to architect and develop the best technical design and approach for web/mobile applications
- Collaborate with other IT domains to drive innovation
- Support and maintain the monitoring platform
- Support and maintain the Chabot framework
- Support and maintain the AI/ML platform
- Support and maintain the AIOPS and ITSM platform
E&A Responsibility
- Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Degree qualifications (or equivalent education qualifications) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ solid working experience in the IT industry and development role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of ITSM and ITIL
- Solid experience with full lifecycle of code development work
- Solid experience with Java script, Phytol, Ansible, Powershell, Restful API, JSON, XML
- Experience with NoSQL DB and RDMS
- Good understand of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Chabot
- Working experience in Agile and Scrum
- Familiar with cloud technology such as AWS and Azure
- CI/CD and monitoring tool (e.g. Jekins, Gitlab, ELK)
- Advanced expertise in software development methodologies –Agile and DevOps is a must
- Strong understanding of current technology concepts, trends and capabilities
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity
- Strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
- Well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and most importantly, innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude
- Experience in collaborating with multiple cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong verbal and written presentation skills
- Knowledge in security and compliance practices and technologies
