Job Description:

Job Purpose     


Responsible for developing Retail/Leisure/Group travel by researching, analysing, implementing, facilitating, and monitoring new business opportunities. 


Ensure high quality service is delivered to all clientele from various prestigious Government/Corporate Departments, VIP/CIP, and members of Rulers family. Bank Alliances and other partners. Proactively close business and drive revenue.


Accountabilities:


Plan:



  • Plan and implement of marketing campaigns by co-ordinating with Stakeholders in Dubai and Bahrain (EDM, Social Media & others BTL activities), product roadshows, promotions, Leisure marketing related events, Travel clinics, mailings and call campaigns for respective segments in Bahrain to increase brand awareness and presence in the market.


Deploy:



  • Collate and analyse business / client requirements from the marketplace and collaborate with relevant internal partners to create solutions tailored to exceed client expectations. Using an understanding of market trends and customer growth plans,

  • Effectively create cross-sell opportunities with other products and services generating other sources of auxiliary revenue.

  • Manage, organise and conduct research activities and analysis of new markets and products to recommend opportunities that will lead to additional revenue streams.


Lead:



  • Co-ordinate with respective teams in Dubai for contracting and setting up of operations prior to launch; working with internal / external teams to ensure the right retail/leisure product and marketing collateral ready to be successful in the market.

  • Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders (Product, Operations & Marketing teams) to develop an overall plan in order to maximise opportunities and generate Retail/Leisure sales.


Execute:



  • Utilising a detailed understanding of the customer base and market trends, work with clients to scope offline/online revenue opportunities to provide a series of products and services that are attractive to the customer.

  • Regularly research online/offline competitors’ products and service offerings, identify valuable online products and analyse new possibilities in order to enhance the department products to match market needs.

  • Carry out regular pricing comparisons between benchmarked world-wide travel websites to highlight areas where products are not competitive. Feed information to senior management for corrective action.

  • Taking on the overflow of customer management when required. Personally handling &/or supervising the bookings if required, confirmations & documentation for Conferences and Groups


Budgeting:



  • Actively participate in budget preparation and give inputs on other key reports to management.

  • Responsible for the achievement of the overall sales targets by sourcing and prospecting for new business

Job Requirements:

A University Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)


Skills:



  •  Experience in conducting leisure/destination/product presentations

  • People management experience in a multinational environment is desirable.

  • Experience in attending service level reviews with clients and implementing agreed standards.

  • Demonstrable negotiation skills at a mid level

  • In depth knowledge of world geography and major carrier networks to facilitate quick itinerary planning.

  • Cross cultural understanding, awareness of beliefs, values & expectations from local & VIP clients.

  • Ability to complete statistical reviews and analyse results.

  • The jobholder should have a pleasant/outgoing personality and be a patient/sympathetic listener.

  • Outstanding service and customer-oriented behaviour

  • Ability to work independently under pressure and as a part of a team.

  • Should have excellent command over written and oral English with a friendly demeanour, good inter-personal skills as well as effective writing ability. Arabic or any other foreign language would be an advantage.

  • The jobholder should be able to adopt a calm and collected approach under pressurised circumstances and project a favourable and caring image of the company.

  • Computer Skills and Proficient in MS office applications such as MS Word, Excel, MS Mail and Power Point.

  • Must be prepared to work after hours and weekends when needed.



Experience / knowledge:



  • Experience in Leisure/Retail Travel 5+ Years

  • Experience in Airline or Tourism Industry would be an advantage. Experience in managing or being part of teams who managed special projects such as Incentives, Groups, Conferences, Medical, Religious and VIP Travel

  • Should have an exceptional Knowledge on tourist places such as hotels, sightseeing places, excursions & climate.
