• Lead and manage a team responsible for providing technical accounting guidance to the Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Finance & Business Operations team, including accounting for long-term contracts, contingencies, joint ventures, facility and organizational optimizations, among others; partner with various stakeholders, including program finance teams, to ensure appropriate accounting is followed

• Lead a team responsible for consolidating Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Missions Systems (RMS) business area financial results on a monthly basis; review and analyze financial results; lead and review the preparation of quarterly financial statements and footnote disclosure templates, and ensure completed accurately and timely

• Review the application of revenue recognition guidance (ASC 606) to new and existing contracts, and partner with the Line of Business Controllers and program finance teams to ensure compliance with ASC 606

• Ensure appropriate internal controls are adhered to across the consolidations and financial reporting disciplines

• Review and provide assistance with the preparation of Forms 10-Q and 10-K in relation to RMS financial information and disclosures

• Provide accounting support to assist Corporate Development with potential acquisitions and divestitures

• Actively interface with senior members of the RMS Finance & Business Operations team to drive improved business results

• Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve current accounting and financial reporting processes

• Assist the business in preparing to implement 1LMX financial systems

• Educate stakeholders on complex accounting matters
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited university

• A deep understanding of US GAAP accounting and financial reporting matters

• Experience in researching and resolving complex technical accounting issues

• Ability to manage multiple projects, and lead and grow employees in a fast paced environment

• Exceptional leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to build consensus and relationships at all levels
Desired Skills:
• Experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, and consolidations; reviewing and resolving technical accounting matters with external auditors

• Active CPA license

• Aerospace and Defense/Government contracting experience

• Experience working at a large publicly traded company and/or public company audit experience

• An ability to build consensus and relationships at all levels

• Knowledge of SAP software

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $139,400 - $262,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $121,300 - $232,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
