Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager to lead the Boeing Fabrication team in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

The site leader is responsible for managing approximately 120 employees and all facets of the site, from operations to facility planning. A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans and policies and procedures.

  • Guides the  development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities and provides technical management of suppliers.

  • Leads process improvements and deploys Boeing Production System (BPS).

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience leading and managing employees.

  • 5+ years in an aerospace, manufacturing and fabrication environment.

  • 5+ years of experience advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree.

  • 5+ years using LEAN manufacturing and/or continuous Improvement practices and tools.

  • Go 4 Zero Safety Stand, with an Incident & Injury Free (IIF) mindset.

  • Knowledge of the Boeing Production System (BPS).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation to primary location based on candidate eligibility.
