Job overview and responsibilities
United is seeking a highly skilled and motivated NetDevOps Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development, deployment, and maintenance of our network automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, software development, and automation tools, along with a passion for optimizing network performance and reliability.
- Network Automation: Develop and maintain automated network provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting solutions using DevOps methodologies.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Create, manage, and optimize infrastructure templates and code using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet to ensure efficient and reliable network infrastructure deployment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, software developers, and system administrators, to design and implement network solutions that align with business objectives.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement CI/CD pipelines for network configurations, enabling faster and more reliable deployments.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Develop and maintain network monitoring and troubleshooting tools to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal network performance.
- Security: Collaborate on security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and compliance, to protect the network infrastructure from vulnerabilities and threats.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for network configurations, automation processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in NetDevOps to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
